MTB adventures in Saxony

Mountain bike adventures in Saxony

Saxony has a lot to offer for keen mountain bikers, with narrow paths, deep forests and beautiful mountain peaks. There’s Germany’s first TrailCenter on the Rabenberg mountain, for example, a mountain bike marathon in Seiffen, a super cool jump line in the Schöneck bike world or Germany’s only Stoneman. The Ore Mountains, Vogtland region and Zittau Mountains might not provide Alpine views, however, there are steep drop-offs and impressive rock formations all the same. Check it out!

Rabenberg TrailCenter

Germany’s first single trail park

Single trails galore? Look no further than Rabenberg TrailCenter. The share of trails around the Rabenberg mountain is between 25 and 50 percent, with lots of mountain biking fun guaranteed and great signposting. Whether it's an easy and short round with the family, a beginner's or a day-long tour – everything is possible at Rabenberg TrailCenter. The course is largely on natural terrain and, with berms, waves, kickers, timber trails, stone fields, wooden bridges, gullys and more, not short of action-packed riding. The laps called Peak Orbiter, Border Trail or Two Mountains Loop are between 3.75 and 16.25 miles long and cover up to 880 metres in altitude.

Blockline

Mountain biking adventure for all the family

Saxony’s BLOCKLINE offers 87 miles of pure family fun. The adventure mountain bike route in the Ore Mountains is suitable for children from the age of eight who will love the sense of freedom when riding through great scenery on three exciting loops (31 miles and more) or 15 legs (12.5 miles and more). Huge wooden portals lead the way to stunning views, unique rock formations, lush mountain meadows and idyllic streams.

Stoneman Miriquidi

2 countries, 9 summits, 4,400 metres of altitude.

There is only one Stoneman in Germany. And it’s in the Ore Mountains!

2 countries, 9 peaks and 4,400 metres of altitude are waiting to be conquered in a remote region and dark forests. However, apart from the geological highlights of the Ore Mountains and great nature, there is also culture to be discovered on the 101-mile-long route.

Schöneck Bikewelt

Where mountain bikers learn to fly

This bike world makes mountain bikers' hearts beat faster: Since 2015, Schöneck Bikewelt has been attracting MTB fans to the beautiful Vogtland region. There are a total of five trails, including flow trails and jump lines, presenting everyone with exciting challenges. The trail builders were inspired by the legendary A-Line in Whistler, Canada. The result is a new legend with 34 jumps made of soil. A huge practice area offers beginners and advanced riders an ideal terrain to improve their skills.

„Schöneck Bikewelt offers a perfect base for a bike weekend, especially for families! There are routes for beginners and pros, plus the trails around the Bikewelt are great for young and old.”
