Orchestras and Ensembles
A journey through the Saxon history of music is an encounter with big names and a rich musical heritage. Choirs as the Dresden Kreuzchor and the Leipzig Thomanerchor and ensembles like the Saxon State Orchestra and the Gewandhaus Orchestra have been existing for more than 400 years. An almost not recordable number of choirs, amateur ensembles as well as choir and music making associations exist here. Major orchestras and ensembles provide first-rate musical delight.
