Short description

Two countries, nine mountains, 162 kilometres and 4400 metres elevation gain. The German Stoneman, the new MTB highlight by Roland Stauder, founder of the Stoneman MTB Marathon World Series, features the Ore Mountains‘ highest peaks plus thrilling moments and stunning views in abundance.

If you want to push yourself and confront your boundaries and at the same time experience overwhelming natural beauty, then Roland Stauder’s Stoneman is the right track for you. The Stoneman Miriquidi as the German Stoneman is a well signposted, diverse mountain bike circuit conquering the highest peaks of the Ore Mountains. Along the way, bikers will experience the cultural, historical and geological highlights of the characteristic landscape on both sides of the German-Czech border.

Every mountain biker finishing the trail in one day will be rewarded with the handmade Stoneman trophy in gold as an official finisher, likewise with the trophy in silver and bronze for finishing in two, respectively three days. All starters are officially listed on www.stoneman-miriquidi.com .

Description

Three trail variations:
One-day gold tour
Two-days silber tour
Three-days bronze tour

It’s possible to start the trail at any point. The circuit is only signposted and open in one direction. On each summit, bikers will find information boards as well as punch presses in order to punch their starter cards. The entirely punched starter card serves as proof for having successfully completed the STONEMAN-MIRIQUIDI.

Starter packs can be booked with the Stoneman partners.

Equipment

The Stoneman Miriquidi has it all - technically and v. a. conditionally! Over nine crisp climbs it goes up to just as many fascinating summit experiences.

The technical driving requirement ranges predominantly from S0 to S1 with a few S2 passages. Do not underestimate it anyway! Gold is feasible only for technically savvy and fit mountain bikers. If you doubt, give yourself enough time for your first ride and try silver or bronze first.
