On 15 February, the winter light festival will be back, the staged light walk through Muskauer Park, which uses various light formations to accentuate the winter darkness of the park and make it glow.
The guests' lanterns will become wandering points of light, starting from the Old Palace, the Orangery, the End of the World, the church ruins and the pavilion on the Polish side of the park. From there they will roam the park from 6.30 pm, lanterns will be available from 6 pm, free of charge and according to colour preferences. The destination is the New Palace, enthroned in strong colours above the surrounding buildings and groups of trees. A true blaze of colour, surrounded by the bright bands of colour of the lantern parades - as fascinating from afar as from up close.
The last hint of coldness fades away at the latest during the fire show and the lively brass tones after the arrival of the Lampion Parades on the castle meadow. The physical well-being with warm meals and drinks is provided.
The winter light festival is a joint event of the "Fürst-Pückler-Park Bad Muskau" foundation with the town of Bad Muskau and the Polish NachbarstadtŁęknica, which is supported by numerous associations and volunteers.
It is held simultaneously every year in the European and Asian partner facilities under the motto "Gardens of Light", such as Łazienki Park, Warsaw (PL), Lunéville Castle Park (FR), Frederiksborg Castle, Hillerød (DK) and Prince Gong's Palace, Beijing (C). Visitors can gain impressions of these by looking at the illuminated displays in the courtyard of the New Palace.
