A name is inseparably connected with Wendt & Kühn: Olly Wendt (née Sommer). In 1920, exactly 100 years ago, she started as a designer in the manufactory. Her work became her life's work, marked by unbridled creativity, accompanied by a loving family, but also by hard losses. Numerous figures, drawings and documents, but also photographs and material evidence of everyday life are evidence of her multi-faceted personality as well as her character and offer very private insights into the life of a woman who worked side by side - and also in creative competition - with company founder Grete Wendt.
The special exhibition will be on display until spring 2021. During this time, visitors can embark on a journey every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (including Sundays and public holidays), leading from Riga via Dresden to Grünhainichen. Admission is free of charge.
Due to the current situation, we kindly ask you to use our event information for orientation. However, before visiting individual events, please check the organisers' websites for possible restrictions and cancellations. We thank you for your understanding.
