20th Chursächische Festspiele celebrate anniversary from 4th September
With the annual Chursächsische Festspiele the new season is traditonally opened. The 20th anniversary edition devotes itself the inspiring epoque of the "Golden Twenties".
Planned highlights of the polyphonic festival program are the symphonie concerts of the Chrursächsische Philharmonie (04.09.) and Ludwig van Beethoven at 30. Tag der Deutschen Einheit. (03.10) as well as inspiring music theatre performances like "Der Vampyr" (11.09.), the semi concertal performance of the Saxon opera "Der Freischütz" (04.10.) and the sparkling operetta "Pariser Leben" (25.09.). Further highlights are a concerrt of the Moka Efti Orchester from the orchestra of the series "Babylon Berlin" (13.09.), humorous cabaret evenings with Wladimir Kaminer (18.09.) and Uli Mauth (26.09.), an intensive actor evening with Klaus Manns theatre satire "Mephisto" (19.09) or a silent movie simphony with live orchestra to the film "Metropolis" at 12th September.
The prgram ends with a show sensation of the 20th (20.09) "Glanz auf dem Vulkan" and a cheerful family theatre from "Pittiplatsch und seine Freunde" (27.09.)
The festspiele are complemented with exciting exhibitions, several theme guidings and chamber music of ensembles of the "Chursächsische Philharmonie".
