Check in at one of the pretty hotels and B&Bs in the town centre. You’ll definitely find something to your taste!



4.15 p.m.

Make your way to the tourist information and find out all you need about guided city tours, event tickets or trips in the surrounding area.



4.30 p.m.

Time to explore Zwickau’s medieval side: The Priests’ Houses, dating back to the 13th century, are among the oldest residential buildings in Germany.




10.30 a.m.

Join a guided city tour and learn all about the Old Town’s sights, amusing anecdotes, historical facts and hidden secrets included.



3. p.m.

The “Robert Schumann House” is where you meet the city’s most famous son. The composer’s birthplace is now a museum, exhibiting, amongst others, photographs, letters, original furniture and more than 4,000 original manuscripts.



5.30 p.m.

Enjoy a leisurely dinner, followed by a walk through the idyllic Schwanenteichpark (swan pond park) or the Mulde Paradies, a recreational space between the city centre and Mulde river.



8. p.m.

Round off your day and visit a concert in one of Zwickau’s renowned event locations, such as “Theater im Gewandhaus”, the town hall, the "Neue Welt" concert house, the open-air stage at the Schwanenteich (swan pond) or the “Gasometer”.




10 a.m. Discover Zwickau’s more than 100-year-old history of car making in the August Horch Museum, a fascinating space to learn all about car brands such as Horch, Audi, Wanderer, DKW and the iconic Trabant.

12.00 noon

Before heading back home, stay a little longer in the atmospheric surroundings of the museum for a bite to eat in the onsite restaurant.
